The crew that comes back to check the work

Dan James has been painting and remodeling homes in west-metro Atlanta for 25 years. The reason that line is on the front page is not that we wrote it — it is that customers keep writing it about us.

Who you are hiring

WS Painting & Remodeling LLC is run by Dan James out of Powder Springs. It has been trading since 2004, on 25 years of hands-on experience with exteriors, interiors, kitchens, baths, decks and basements across Cobb, Paulding, Douglas and Fulton.

The crew carries both painters and finish carpenters. That is less common than it sounds, and it is the reason the same team can repaint the outside of your house and gut a bathroom inside it. Most contractors are strong at one and tolerate the other.

Dan James is on the jobs. When reviewers mention someone returning after completion to inspect the work personally, that is him — not a manager sent to look at it.

What that looks like on a job

These are not claims we invented for a website. Each one is the thing customers independently keep raising in public reviews.

He makes it right

The most-repeated theme. If something is not to your liking it gets corrected — reviewers describe it as unusual in this trade, which tells you how low the bar is elsewhere.

Prep is the job

Damaged materials get replaced or patched before a topcoat goes on. It is why exterior work is still holding years later instead of peeling in two summers.

Clean sites

Tidied daily. It is the detail customers mention most often after the quality of the finish itself.

Credentials

Everything here is checkable. Where it links out, follow it.

  • BBB Accredited Business

Accredited with the Better Business Bureau. View the live listing .

  • 5.0 stars, 44 reviews

Not one below five. Read them, or go straight to the Google profile and read the ones we did not pick.

  • 2-year workmanship warranty

Workmanship is warranted for two years. The terms are written into the estimate you sign, not buried on a website.

  • Licensed and insured

Georgia does not issue a state license for painting contractors, so there is no license number to print and we will not invent one. Ask for our certificate of insurance before work starts — any contractor worth hiring will hand it over.

  • Sherwin-Williams paint

The materials we specify by default. That is a statement about what goes on your walls, not a sponsorship.
